I've never made a pot roast before so I consulted my closest advisers via FB status. I received a ton of good information about pot roast and a blog link (which is the inspiration for this series of entries). Over the next few days I'm going to blog Julie &Julia style. A recipe, lots of pictures and inspiration to try your own food project. With out further ado, I give you Project Pot Roast....Bon Appétit

Project Pot Roast: Prequel
If you're friends with me on FB you probably know that I just bought a cow share in August. I'm the proud owner of 50lbs of grass fed and finished cow. I've got mixed cuts and ground beef bursting from my freezer. I gave away a few things but I'm keeping most of it. The meat is amazing. It tastes like beef. I know I sound nuts but it you have ever had a really nice steak, you know what I mean. I'm a ground beef person so it has been a challenge to figure out what to do with all these cuts. I made stew beef in the crock pot weeks ago and I wanted to try something new. Enter Project Pot Roast.
